# Consulting

## What is FrankTalk Consulting?

Consulting is quite different from therapy. Consulting provides advice about a specific problem or issue from an expert who is highly trained or experienced in a topic. Consulting is usually short term – often just 2-3 sessions.

Franktalk Consulting can help men assess their sexual situation, discover resources, and create and execute a game-plan. In the field of male sexual function, this may include help finding medical providers, mental health providers, and sexuality resources.

Consulting often relies on education and discovering why things aren't working. Consultants help you implement changes and assess results. Part of consulting is creating realistic expectations and deciding how to measure results based on your goals. Consulting is directional and instructional and can feel like you have someone coaching you along the way, but you are doing the work, not the expert. To be clear this is NOT medical advice, consulting is just providing you with resources to help you accomplish your goals.

1. 1 Discovery call
2. 2 Assess & map resources
3. 3 Build the game-plan
4. 4 Check-in & adjust

Step 1

### Discovery call

We start by understanding what's going on — medical history, what you've tried, what's actually bothering you, and what a good outcome looks like.

Get Started

## Four simple steps

Getting started is a short conversation, not a stack of forms.

Step One Get in touch

Send a note through the contact page and tell me briefly what is going on. You do not need to have the words for it yet. I read every message myself.

[Contact FrankTalk Therapy](/contact)

Step Two We find a time

I will come back to you with times that work. Sessions are 50 minutes.

Step Three Paperwork, sent to you privately

Before your first session I will send the client agreement and registration forms to you directly, through a secure system. They are deliberately not on this website, because your date of birth, your address and your history should not travel through a public web page.

Step Four Payment

Payment is collected at the time of booking. Payment may be made via Zelle, Google Pay, or Venmo.

If you are experiencing financial hardship we can add a limited sliding scale. [Contact FrankTalk Therapy](/contact) for more information.
